How to get honesty from the machine

September 23rd, 2008

Citizen of the world  and now a recent tenant of the City of Dunedin give or take six years.

Have been more than frustrated by the Political scene in this part of this most Parochial world I have chosen to live in. May in introduce myself first of all; to allow my comments etc. to be valid and acceptable by any readers who will drift onto this site, and wish to comment either way on where we are going. I and my twin sister where  created during the war, known as ww2 and of course in my case i had the misfortune to be in London with my parents at the time. In 1942 many world changing events happened to change our history. I grew toward the age of fifteen with a brick in the wall education, from which i was lucky to escape when my family  took us to  Vancouver in Canada.  As part of  a small family of five who had the luck to be in the draw for a long term position to live as permanent residence. Then eventually became Naturalised citizens. So in 1957 I went back to school; and as an average c+ student worked my way up to the 12th grade and managed a high school diploma. At that point in time i started to become a universal student by doing alternate education and a lot of self study from then age 15 to today fifty years later.  Today I am classified as a Geek – Nerd etc because i am one and have been one all my life. This is page one of many I would like to publish in the near future….   As i know little about blogging, this may take some time to sort out…

As the above page is a brief synopsis of my intended activity for the future, in which i need to indicate my qualification and credibility for what is to come.  I have a person in my family who has taken the time to read my first page; who’s only comment was that I have not filled in my early years where much of my qualification may have been partly responsible for what I am and who I am in real life. Having taken this advise I shall now follow this format and do what is suggested. If nothing else happens on this blog; i shall have at least have a brief history of me and my hopes and dreams as they happened over the years. I hope to do this aim, without losing the plot so as to speak.  Please bare with me as I meander along; keeping in mind I am not trained formally in most of what i say and do in my life; the pages changed on a daily basis, in in many cases in a significant way. Spelling and punctuation are not my best susbject; with a little cheating with items such as the dictionary ( English not American, version ) and a genuine Thesaurus will keep it as interesting as it possible can be. I am an amateur typist having also taken a course in my early school days for one term.  I intend to daily add  a little to this missive  with the hope of some interest being shown over time In the life of one individual of the millions out there who vie for my time. Some people do not like my rambled way of doing this as one thinks and modifies as the train moves along the track both in reverse and forward at intermittent times. Mind you once in my Logical mind where any form of inactitude bothers me, however I would hope that as this is a form of art: everything goes.  In spite of goals and other idea’s that are not specific and the knowledge of how the human mind as in gray matter wherein all of our neural pathways terminate in their billions of way. This project may in fact only be of interest to me and mine. If anyone else wishes to join in and comment, always feel free to do, be it positive or negative in content; as i would value this input to assist my own abilities, just to see if my direction is acceptable. After all many minds together can improve any situation as in progressive improvements. Let’s back up this train now  that  I joined at birth, and move on to a more progressive and interesting time for me at least, as i again bring in yet many factors that make me what i am as my train reaches to a closer day for reaching it’s terminus. As already statedI came into the world in WW2 about the middle; twined with a female partner within one hour. Our delivery almost killed my malnourshed mother. The god’s must have been with her on that day as she survived this major ordeal.

The father of our creation was not much use at that time as he having come home from Dunkirk in France; was in fact almost a basket case as were thousands of ex servicemen. He worked as a Dock labourer on part time at a time when almost all freight was handled by physical work with little machinery. As with many of his mates, the local pub was to take up most of their time when not working at the docks. He was an angry man who blamed the world for his travails and lack of ability to move on. So being blessed with a hard working and lovely lady, my mother and some of her family: my sister and I made it through to our early years without much input or care from the male creator of our existance.  As an aside at this point, I did do something that was maybe my first time to reach out for something new and maybe exciting. So at four years of age whilst we still  lived in the docklands of Wapping in London and being taken to what is called new park consisting of grass, more grass with some childrens play ground and many old cannons which we could and did play with. I saw acoss said park and nearer to the Thames river; an enclosure with a gate that must have piqued my interest enough  to go over to it.  I remember the small gate that had not been locked and listening to a strange sound which i though was noisy but not frightening. Apparently as I understand it now it was an outlet vent for the an underground road tunnel called the Rotherith about 15 feet across. However with childline couriosity,  I entered this area and saw four very large fans drawing large volumes of air from the tunnel and a large (to my perspective )  decending set if stairs which i went down  until i reached a pavement to the side of the road, no doubt for work men not foot passengers. This was exciting for me, no doubt as i proceeded to follow my new adventure and at such a tender age; i had no fear and nor realised what this place was. Needless to say by this time my frantic mother had called on the police, who proceeded to look for me. Having covered what i was told as an older child about the width of the river Thames at that point about 400 yards. The road was getting daylight now filtering in as the road tapered up now to exist past the river.  I can recall even how that i followed it up until an oldfashioned spiked iron fence that seemed very high to me; I understand about 8 feet. Beyond was a large grassy area with chickens and lots of trees thought as a magical place in the mind of a 4 year old. When i was older i was told that about 100 police had been searching form me all thinking i newsmight have fallen in the river and drowned.  The next day  mention in a newspaper of the incident.  I apparently told the Policeman who found me that i had been to the country  ( based on the trees and chickens ) i understand at some point after this a full brick wall was put up to cover the air outlet high enough to prevent this ever happening again. My first attempt to be different without knowing it. Then a slightly normal life as we started the early days of the Children’s Garden ( today Kindy ) and a settled life with our loving mother. Father not often seen and scary as well. At the young age of nine years must life was disrupted by the need for our family to get out of London which at that stage was still a bombed out wastland in many areas of which ours was one. Myself and other friends played in the ruins of the many rubble laden building that had been two story but now consisted of one if lucky or just rubble. At age eight whilst playing tag in local ruins with two friends i made an error in jumping between two RSJ’s and dropped down to the lower floor or bricks and steel.  I was very unlucky at that time as a large section of reinforcing steel decided to go into my left knee. This of course intailed a visit to the hostpital for 13 very painfull  stitches. We left London as i said just after i turned 9 years for a foreign place in the country this time called Loughten Essex where in an estate that was goverment built called Debden we started our new life.

Hello world!
